The proposed JMRTC is conceived to be centrally located to serve a population that is currently located to serve a population that is currently underserved and demonstrates a greater need than the Joliet population as a whole. Equally important, the development of the JMRTC will correct existing safety issues at the project location by providing separate and secure transfer points, dedicated bus transfer points, and minimizing pedestrian and bus-train-vehicle conflicts. Sigma Engineering, Inc. has been commissioned for 5 phases of this project, which has a total of 8. Our core responsibilities for JMRTC are to provide electrical design for the following; Bus depot, Heritage Corridor Platform, Joliet Train Station House, Rock Island Platform, a Temporary Platform and Ticketing Office. The CTA Loyola station renovation was part of an upgrade and repairs initiative. Upgrades and repairs were applied to stationhouse and adjacent infastructures. The overview of the project helped pedestrians have a safer and more convenient commute by adding amenities,include new windows, flooring, lighting and interior finishes for a brighter, safer environment; additional bike parking; and installation of a new auxiliary entrance and turnstiles on the southwest side of the station, which was previously exit-only, to provide additional convenient access to the main stationhouse. Sigma Engineering, performed professional services for HVAC and Plumbing systems in accordance with the project requirements, general engineering practice, and the local governing building codes. Humboldt Park Branch Library Added 5,000 sq ft. of additional building space. Making room for a Media room and expansion of services provided by Chicago Public Librarys. Metra Van Buren Station was in need of an entirely new security camera system. The station needed digital records of the station layout. Sigma Engineering, digitized the entire station. Then designed the security camera placement using different types of cameras using multiple security formats.
